As I get older I find that I treasure my friendships more and more. If you think about it, all lasting relationships are really friendships. As we age, men more (and some women) seem to have difficulty gaining new friendships. We get busy with our children, our jobs and our homes. New friendships are always worth making the effort. Old friendships are very much worth preserving. Finding the time is not really as tricky as we may make it seem. It only takes a few moments to start or to keep up a friendship. It is important that, like any relationship, the effort is fairly even on both sides. Allow time in your life for friendship and remember: Make new friends, keep the old, one is silver , the other is gold.
