I am fascinated by exploring the way in which we learn. When it comes to this subject, the answer might seem to very as much as our New England weather. In reality we all learn the same way. A little tiny bit at a time. If you think about it, 'baby steps' is how we learn to walk, to eat and to talk. While your mind may be witnessing millions of new experiences per day, what you really absorb is only a tiny fraction of that. This is exactly how I work with my clients. Especially in the beginning, we set up a plan that has them taking the tiniest of steps towards their goal. For example (with weight loss), exercising for one minute per day. 'Baby Steps' is the way that they achieve success easily and quickly. Small successes are then built on it a little bit at a time until they reach their goal!
