I want you to think about your life and who has been the hardest on you. You might think it’s your parents or your grandparents or a neighbor. Maybe you’ve had a difficult boss or two in your life. But there is one person who has been harder on you by far then anyone else on this planet. That person is YOU. If you stop and think about it, it’s true! Think about when you do something wrong. That little voice in your head, what is it saying? Is it being nice to you or is it telling you what a fool you are? And how could you do something this wrong? And why did you plan it better? Why don’t you try harder? And how could you that this happen? That’s the bad news. The good news is that it is relatively easy to change this way of thinking. Once you realize that you are being hard on yourself, you can easily stop by getting in the practice of speaking kindly to yourself. Like any habit, this one can be changed. Starting right now, YOU can decide to be kinder to the most important person you know, yourself.
