Confidence does not start off as confidence but rather as a sort of “made up” belief in yourself. No one is automatically confident. You start off by acting “as if.” Basically this type of belief initially fools your subconscious mind into believing that you not only know what you are doing, but that you’re really adept at it. Then when you follow this “belief” with action, your subconscious mind is convinced even more and your confidence builds. In the meantime, people around you start to see you as the expert in what you do-this is really cool. Everyone, including yourself, believes in you. You look, feel and seem at your absolute best. This further enhances your ability and your confidence builds even more. It’s all so easy and it’s all due to your ability to act “as if.”
